In the heart of the city

The Vleeshuis Museum is located in the heart of the city, right in the Historic Center of Antwerp. Surrounded by plenty of attractions, a visit to the museum will undoubtedly make for an interesting day trip.

Around the Vleeshuis Museum, which is located in a beautiful historic building, there are numerous other gems including the Cathedral, ‘Het Steen’ (a historic castle), and City Hall. From here you can walk to the bustling ‘eilandje’, where you can visit the MAS and Red Star Line Museum.

For those who seek an alternative, pop into the trendy fashion district. Shopping and cultural activities? In Antwerp they go hand in hand. Between all of this you can relax at a cosy cafe terrace or in an atmospheric Brasserie. Choice enough!

Are you at one with nature? That is possible too. Walk through the underpass to the opposite side of the Schelde River. Children can play to their heart’s content in the numerous playgrounds, while you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Cathedral, Vleeshuis and MAS.
